A Negative Test Gives a Positive Outcome?
Here is the conclusion to the investigation on Leo’s caseworker.
I received a text asking for my email so that a case closure letter could be emailed to me. I then got a separate text that said if I had questions, I could call. I opened my email and the letter simply stated that the investigation was over and the department was no longer needed. My response… WHAT? That’s all I get?!
I followed the instructions and gave the investigator a call, because I had plenty of questions! He was able to tell me that the caseworker voluntarily took a drug test and passed. He also stated they were able to confirm through several different forms of evidence that the caseworker was not in possession of the vehicle prior to the visit. Therefore, the caseworker is cleared. This information made me feel better, but not great.
Does no one care that someone she trusts to use her vehicle is doing drugs? Who is she associating with? Does no one care about the other red flags I reported? Or can just nothing be done at this time?
While I’m happy that the caseworker wasn’t high at the time, I’m still unsatisfied with her work. Leo deserves someone who at least does the bare minimum, and he currently does not have that. All I can do and all you can do is love him and pray. Pray for us to have calm hearts and clear minds while God’s plan unfolds in our lives.
In a happy bit of news, Leo is doing so well. He is hitting his milestones and he is for the most part, so happy. He smiles, giggles, and talks to anyone who stops by to chat with him. He thinks Joy is so silly and she loves to entertain him! Even though this morning I found her trying to use him and his chair as a stepping stool for something placed out of her reach 💀, Leo was happy to oblige! We are living our best lives over here, despite the adversity that visits from time to time!
